The Specialist, Talent Management will provide support for the performance and talent functions of the Agency. Working closely with the Senior Director, Talent Management the position will work to ensure efficient and effective talent functions needed to meet Agency needs. This role requires very strong organizational and customer service skills as well as high dependability and respect for confidential information.
What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
- Performance Management: Manage internal performance management processes including strategy and design. Roll out of Performance Management components (Mid-Year and Annual Review). Create and review training materials, proactive staff communications, and job aides as needed. Support Agency wide reporting on compliance and quality of performance indicators. (30%)
- Succession Planning: Support annual succession planning process for senior leaders in Agency. Assist in development of associated materials, including Board presentations. Maintain confidential records of key talent and leadership development plans. (20%)
- Talent Assessment: Support the talent assessment process across the Agency including data analysis and reporting. Preparation of materials to present to Senior Leaders summarizing the talent needs of the Agency. (20%)
- Employee Development: Support the roll out of individual development plans for staff. Participate in the creation and roll out of a Career development framework, including supporting resources and tools for staff and managers. (15%)
- Talent Management System Administration: Administer all facets of the integrated talent management system including day-to-day administration and “help-desk” support. Maintain data integrity in system. (15%)
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters related to functional area
- Requires little or no supervision on routine work assignments, but may require supervision to review work progress and results on non-routine work assignments
- General regulations exist, but incumbent must interpret the regulations. The "what" and "how" are provided, but must always interpret the "how"
Required Qualifications
- You have a minimum 3-5 years' experience in area of expertise
- High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
- Professional level of specialized knowledge to manage complex tasks, programs or projects.
