The Specialist, Graphic Design will create external facing marketing and communications materials that support the agency's ambitious fundraising, brand, media and advocacy goals. H/she will develop creative assets to engage and activate our current and new supporters and will serve as a brand ambassador of highly compelling, strategic visuals that reinforce and achieve maximum brand impact. The Specialist, Graphic Design’s creative output will be used to drive mission critical initiatives in omni-channel, integrated 360° global campaigns.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Design: Help build our brand by developing dynamic and visually compelling material that support U.S. and global initiatives, to include 360° integrated marketing campaigns, digital banner ads, reports (printed and digital), website graphics, email campaigns, social post visuals and a variety of visual assets that help shape our supporter experience. Create and take on any design need from print, web, presentation, event and even a little motion graphic design when the need arises. (70%)
- Project Oversight & Relationship Management: Work in partnership with internal stakeholders, creative and digital web production teams to conceptualize, create and deliver on integrated global marketing programs and campaigns within established timelines. Work across the agency to support a wide variety of fundraising and marketing programs and handle multiple large-scale projects. (20%)
- Evolving Trends: Remain current on emerging digital and mobile trends in an effort to communicate them to the larger visual design team as they pertain to our work, processes and priorities. (5%)

Educational Background:
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience:
Required Qualifications
- You have a minimum 3-5 years' experience as a graphic designer, art director, production artist or related field, with experience in a fast-paced marketing or media production environment
- Must have a readily available online design portfolio showing examples of most recent work in order to be considered for this position
- Nimble and capable of finding a solution to a problem when it arises. Ability to remain flexible, prioritize, and coordinate with the design team as agency priorities change rapidly
- Thorough knowledge of aesthetic design concepts, layout principles, branding, typography, color theory, and printer specs
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Acrobat along with understanding of image formats, optimization techniques and file compression
- Excellent written and oral communicator and able to use images to tell a story or illustrate a concept
- Adept at working independently or collaboratively with a team
- Ability to understand and consistently apply our brand guidelines
- Handle multiple large-scale projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while paying attention to detail with minimal oversight
