The Specialist, IT Application Support is part of a dynamic technology team who is responsible for supporting Save the Children’s portfolio of best in breed technology applications. As part of this team, this person will be responsible for ensuring mission critical applications including web applications, CRM, Program and Financial systems are fully functional enabling Save the Children to meet its critical objectives.
Areas of Responsibility:
- The Specialist, IT Application Support is responsible for leading the support of the Save the Children website ensuring all critical functions can be performed. In addition, this role is responsible for the tools that monitor the website including building and maintaining monitoring scripts. This role will also support Save the Children’s portfolio of applications including CRM, and Agresso for the Agency system users and will serve as a primary contact for business staff and vendors. 40%
- The Specialist, IT Application Support will serve as a key resource in the IT department providing support and expertise to all Agency users on the utilization of the Agency’s Website, CRM, and Financial applications. Responsible for troubleshooting issues, testing, identifying solutions, and working with peer colleagues in IT and software vendors in delivering systematic and process solutions. In addition, this role delivers critical system reports and files to business units and vendors as well as sharing responsibility for integrating donor, child, and financial data between systems and ensuring the data reconciles to the source files and the system results are as expected. 40%
- The Specialist, IT Application Support will be participating in system upgrades, writing test cases, testing critical processes and upgrade implementation of application support systems. Strong collaboration with IT peers, business units and vendors will be critical in the success of this position. 20%
Educational Background:
High School Diploma
Skills/Experience:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in system support and a High School Diploma
- Experience with CRM technologies required.
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and hands-on experience and knowledge of various reporting and query tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational skills and ability to multi-task, organize workloads and assignments as well as, disciplined time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities quickly.
- Demonstrate significant level of patience providing support in a cross cultural environment.
- Strong work ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent experience in support of applications including Web, CRM and/or Financial systems as well as systems support management preferred.
- Experience with financial, fundraising, sponsorship or donor management systems a plus.
