The Web Developer will be part of the team who leads website development for an International Organization whose mission is to save children globally. This position will be part of the team launching and supporting an exciting new website leveraging upgraded best in breed platforms. The Web Developer will be part of the team who is responsible for planning, analysis, and development for multiple projects on the website. 

This position requires a breadth of application development knowledge, including experience with Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Systems analysis and solution design for web application(s)
  • Development of the presentation layer of the website, ensuring pages are error free, cross browser, cross platform and optimized
  • Provide input into requirements
  • Provide input into project plan with development tasks and time estimates
  • Support and lead troubleshooting issues
  • Document procedures and web standards and maintain website with CMS
  • Perform other job duties as may be required
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Skilled in the following: Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML.
  • Experience with various System Development Life cycles (SDLC)
  • Experience working with various Project Management practices and disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to augment a close working relationship with the business teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within tight timelines, strong organizational skills
  • Must be self-directed and results-driven with a strong customer focus
  • Experience with a Source Control System (Git, SVN)
  • Experience with Apache Virtual Host Configuration a plus
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager and/or Blackbaud Luminate a plus
