The Senior Coordinator, Treasury develops spreadsheets, utilizes Agresso reporting tools, analyzes cash flows, supports banking operations, and provides customer service to stakeholders within Save the Children.  S/he supports the Associate Director in reporting related to the Endowment and other investments. This role requires someone who is detail oriented, can provide accurate reporting and analysis, and works well in a team environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Creates and maintains spreadsheets related to cash flows, works with Finance staff in SCUS and SCI to compile and review cash flow inputs as well as assists with weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasting. Will be responsible for reviewing documentation related to banking and investments and will provide reports on bank fees and analyze cost trends and opportunities. This role will support the Corporate Accounting team in researching transactions and is responsible for providing customer service to the agency in regards to banking related inquiries. Support the Associate Director, Treasury in compiling and verifying Investment information, assisting with foreign exchange transactions, and helping with year-end audit related tasks.

Create and maintain spreadsheets related to cash flows (35%)

  • Saving bank statements daily; review and update cash related spreadsheets
  • Reviewing daily bank statements and working with stakeholders to identify source of funds for certain wire and ACH receipts
  • Saving monthly bank statements and distributing as necessary
  • Recording and verifying wires and ACHs paid via Treasury
  • Assisting agency stakeholders with inquiries relating to Treasury wires or ACH payments
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis as requested related to cash transactions
  • Support the Corporate Accounting team in researching transactions

Banking Relationship Management (25%)

  • Working with home office divisions and country offices to update signatories on bank accounts as needed
  • Working with other home office divisions and country offices to open new bank accounts or close accounts as needed
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with bank representatives
  • Review monthly bank fees and analyze cost trends and opportunities for savings
  • Manage online banking platform and work with administrators to ensure proper entitlements are in place
  • Assist Associate Directory, Treasury with submission of quarterly Line of Credit documentation to the banks

Investment/Endowment Management (15%)

  • Responsible for downloading/saving monthly or quarterly investment statements
  • Working closely with Associate Directory, Treasury, to execute documents required for Board approved portfolio rebalancing
  • Reconciling monthly Investment Manager Monthly Executive Summary with individual investment statements

Cash Flow forecasting (10%)

  • Assist Associate Directory, Treasury with compiling inputs for weekly, monthly and annual cash flow forecasting
  • Format annual cash flow forecast PPT slides for quarterly board meetings
  • Update Cash Flow Forecasting tool with new budget data as requested

Foreign Exchange (10%)

  • Processing FX Spot trades as needed to pay 3rd party vendors
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with FX providers and their representatives
  • Updating FX rates weekly in the agency finance system (Agresso) and adding new currency rates as requested

Year-end Audit (5%)

  • Preparing cash and investment audit confirmations and following up with banks/investment managers as needed to ensure auditors receive the information
  • Assist Associate Director, Treasury with yearly submission of Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR) FinCEN 114 forms for agency expats and working closely with KPMG
  • Providing back-up documentation as required by auditors
Educational Background: 
A High School diploma, plus a minimum 3-4 years relevant experience required.
College degree preferred in Finance/related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Requires advanced computer fluency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Technical/functional skills and attention to detail to manage complex tasks, programs or projects.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner while working on simultaneous tasks.
  • Ability to maintain high quality of work, both in presentation and accuracy.
  • Ability and desire to learn new concepts/skills quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Develop/maintain an excellent rapport with, and anticipate and respond to, stakeholders/customer needs.
