The Manager, Treasury will be responsible for managing the agency’s yearly cash flow forecast and be the main point of contact for all wire transfer related requests. Other duties involve maintaining cash spreadsheets, utilizing Agresso reporting tools, supporting banking operations, providing customer service to stakeholders within Save the Children, and providing back-up for the Associate Director, Treasury.  S/he will support the Associate Director in reporting related to the Endowment and other investments. This role requires someone who is detail oriented, can provide accurate reporting and analysis, and works well in a team environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Will lead the compilation of cash flow inputs and outputs to manage the agency’s weekly and annual cash flow forecasts. Creates and maintains spreadsheets related to cash flows. Will be responsible for reviewing documentation related to banking and investments and provide reports on bank fees and analyze cost trends and opportunities. This role will support the Accounting Operations team by providing information for booking funds to the general ledger and is responsible for providing customer service to the agency in regards to banking related inquiries. This role will be responsible for the wire transfer request process and all related inquiries and support the Associate Director, Treasury in compiling and verifying Investment information, assisting with foreign exchange transactions, and helping with year-end audit related tasks.

Create and maintain spreadsheets related to daily cash flows (25%)

  • Saving bank transaction reports daily; review and update cash related spreadsheets
  • Review daily bank transaction reports and record receipts for coding by other Finance colleagues
  • Save monthly bank statements and distribute to teams as necessary
  • Support the Accounting Operations team in researching transactions

Manage Wire Transfer Request process (20%)

  • Manage the wire transfer request process in Save the Children financial system (Agresso)
  • Process wire and ACH payments daily via Bank of America CashPro Online platform
  • Record and verify wires and ACHs paid via Treasury
  • Assist business teams with inquiries related to wire transfer requests
  • Initiate internal, investment-related, and Treasury related wire transfer requests for payment

Manage Cash Flow forecasting tools (15%)

  • Manage cash flow forecasting tool with new budget data quarterly
  • Compile inputs for weekly, monthly and annual cash flow forecasting
  • Present annual cash flow forecasts to Controller and CFO for review
  • Provide annual cash flow forecast information for quarterly board meetings

Banking Relationship Management (15%)

  • Work with home office divisions and country offices to update signatories on bank accounts, and open or close bank accounts as needed
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with bank representatives
  • Review monthly bank fees and analyze cost trends and opportunities for savings
  • Manage online banking platforms and work with administrators to ensure proper entitlements are in place

Investment/Endowment Management (10%)

  • Responsible for saving monthly or quarterly investment statements
  • Work with Associate Director, Treasury, to execute documents required for Board approved portfolio rebalancing
  • Reconcile monthly Investment Manager Monthly Executive Summary with individual investment statements for board report distribution

Foreign Exchange (10%)

  • Process FX Spot trades as needed to pay 3rd party vendors
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with FX providers and their representatives
  • Update FX rates weekly in the agency finance system (Agresso) and add new currency rates as requested

Year-end Audit (5%)

  • Prepare cash and investment audit confirmations and follow up with banks/investment managers as needed to ensure auditors receive the information in a timely manner
  • Assist Associate Director, Treasury with yearly submission of Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR) FinCEN 114 forms for agency expats and work closely with KPMG
  • Provide back-up documentation as requested by auditors
Educational Background: 
A High School diploma, plus a minimum 3-5 years relevant experience required.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree preferred in Finance related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat DC application.
