Summary
This newly created position will be responsible for managing Employee Engagement for our corporate partners, which includes volunteer opportunities, Save the Children Gift Card and menu of employee engagement activities representing a key agency stream for undesignated support. This person will be responsible for meeting a fundraising goal established by the department & the organization. This position will also lead in the development of new employee engagement offers and packages to enable the agency to maximize revenue and provide the level of service to our partners that they need and expect.
The overall goal is to increase revenue by leading in the creation and promotion of employee engagement activities for current and prospective corporate partners. This person will assist with mobilizing resources from larger and complex relationships, led by others on the team.
What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
Account & Program Management (50%): Manage and grow employee engagement by creating and promoting existing and new revenue generating activities. Leverage existing engagement programs to position Save the Children as a “charity of choice” for new fundraising opportunities. This person will also manage the Save the Children Gift card product agency-wide.
Marketing & Sales (25%): Promote and build awareness of Save the Children’s employee engagement offerings and Gift Card product by motivating Corporate Team colleagues and creating internal enthusiasm. Develop and deliver a targeted outreach strategy to solicit and secure corporate partners for employee engagement and Gift Card product. Maintain and develop marketing materials and baseline collateral (e.g., brochures, PowerPoint slides) for employee engagement activities that can be easily customized for partners. Participate in select external conversations with partners to support or promote Save the Children’s work in this space.
Events (15%): Assist the Corporate Team in advising on and preparing for employee engagement activities and events. Represent Save the Children at select corporate employee engagement events, as well as make presentations to new donors as approved by supervisor.
Department Support (10%): Play a role in partner solicitation by providing internal support to Corporate Team Account Managers. Oversee administrative follow-up and reporting to deliver defined results related to employee engagement activities and Gift Card performance. Handle daily department duties related to managing current data inputting and pipeline documents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years' progressively responsible professional work experience in fundraising, project management, marketing, sales, media or advertising
- High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
- Background with not-profit organizations, with emphasis on client facing experience desirable.
- Fluency in English is essential
- Extremely client focused with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in ambiguous, highly matrixed environment
- Ability to problem-solve and drive projects through to completion
- Up to 15% travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with volunteer facilitation and/or engagement programs a plus
- Knowledge of customer relationship management databases or Blackbaud
