The Manager of Digital Operations will be responsible for the management of web projects on the Luminate platform, including project planning and creation of detailed specifications for new functionality on the agency’s transactional platform. A successful candidate will have a technical and innovative approach to his or her work that will allow them to support key fundraising initiatives online. We’re looking for a highly organized, skilled professional with digital project management experience to take our team to the next level.
Areas of Responsibility:
Project Management (45%)
- Collaborate with creative and content teams, internal clients, and external vendors to develop and manage project plans, from scoping and scheduling to implementation / production and post go-live support.
- Assist in establishing specifications and quality standards and procedures to be employed throughout web projects. Work with stakeholders to develop requirements, use cases to evaluate whether deliverables meet design, UX and functional requirements.
- Ensure projects are completed as specified and carefully monitor client expectations for deliverables. Collaborate with the Manager of Digital Content Production to create project plans using the web project tracker database and other tools to monitor project status and meet deadlines.
- Report project and issue status to product stakeholders (Sponsorship Marketing, Peer to Peer, Gift Catalog). Keep manager informed of key issues.
Implementation (45%)
- Create, edit and publish transactional web content using the Luminate module, such as gift catalog products, sponsorship, peer-to-peer and donation forms, gathering all relevant information including financial codes, copy, images, payment arrays and other required content.
- Work together with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure all front end and back end web deliverables are reviewed before and after the go live date.
Other Duties as Assigned (10%)
- Work with Supporter Services Unit, Donor Services, digital developers and IT to flag, report, troubleshoot and resolve user issues with website functionality and connectivity.
- Backup Manger of Digital Production by creating, editing and publishing web content using Adobe Experience Manger Content Management System and HTML editor on the Save the Children website.
- Available and on call during emergency responses. May require night or weekend work.
Educational Background:
Bachelor of arts or Science in a relevant field
Skills/Experience:
- You have a minimum 3-5 years' of related experience in corporate or non-profit environment
- High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Proven experience in a digital project management role, with the ability to organize projects and priorities
- Strong Interest in learning digital project management methodologies, such as Agile development
- Efficiency with attention to detail is required to ensure speed to market of jobs with deadlines
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and possess strong time management skills
