Youth & ED Officer will be responsible for implementation of Youth Resolve Programme and act as a youth expert. The individual will be responsible for providing technical and organizational support and overseeing the contextualization and implementation of interventions in IDP’s, refugees and affected host communities. Liaises and works closely with youth related structures, stakeholders and community members and carries out day-to-day coordination of respective advice service, vocational education program meanwhile looking for the employment and apprenticeship opportunities for accomplishing program deliverables in compliance with EU requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implement Programme activities in accordance with the Programme guidelines and targets Program is implemented successfully and within established timelines
  • Provide with continuous feedback on marketplace conditions, technology changes and all external factors that are likely to be relevant in near future
  • Spread the Youth Resolve Programme identity and message into national stakeholders
  • Learnings provided include potentiality and capability assessments in a clear manner and sufficient for creating/adjusting model guidelines
  • Ensure the quality monitoring of Vocational training/apprenticeship/capacity building events within in accordance to the quality standards Monitoring system is developed and quality of training/capacity building is measured.
  • New approaches to targeted training is proposed
  • Lead and facilitate sharing best practices within staff and stakeholders
  • Provide technical input and coordination of advocacy actions in Youth Empowerment
  • Establish systems, processes, contextualize models to support team in having one common approach in solving the raised issues within the scope of Livelihood programming
Educational Background: 
Bachelor degree minimum

  • Exceptional talent for communicating with staff to assist them in working flexibly
  • Excellent networking skills aimed at generating business and ensuring loyal clientele
  • Knowledge of the IDPs/refugees’ context in IQ is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, efficient task prioritization and time management
  • Understanding of community mobilization and empowerment principles and approaches
  • Excellent coordination skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical skill
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish languages
