Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity (CVH4H) is currently seeking a service-oriented professional to join the CVH4H ReStore team as a Donations Procurement/Manager. In this role the Manager is responsible for developing new donors, meeting sales and strategic plan goals, participating in strategic planning, as well as, high level management decisions, and driving a 16’ box truck to pickup and haul large donations. This position is located at the Habitat ReStore in Eau Claire, WI with occasional travel within a 30-mile radius. 
ReStores are a unique and branded retail outlet where customers can purchase quality new and gently used items at excellent prices while helping Habitat for Humanity eliminate poverty housing in our community. 

Revenue generated by the ReStore provides CVH4H with much needed funding to assist in building and repairing of homes and hope for families in our community, as well as, around the world. It also keeps tons of unwanted merchandise out of our landfills annually.

The ReStore store manager will provide high-level leadership for the Restore, lead corporate and individual donations, follow operational policies and procedures, and speak with local businesses and contractors daily. The ideal candidate will be independent, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and work as both a team member and manager.

The successful employee will be able to support the mission, values and goals of Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity and of the ReStore. They must be organized, able to meet deadlines, and able to manage both daily and large-scale projects. The ReStore Manager will have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and volunteers. The manager is also expected to maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field, including training provided by HFHI. This includes reading and being aware of all HFHI operations manuals, best practices, reports, etc. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Meet with contractors and donors to secure donations of needed product
  • Maintain current relationships with corporate donors and develop relationships with four new corporate donors each month
  • Recruit new private/individual donors to meet sales goals
  • Meet sales goals and budget guidelines set by board and strategic plan
  • Ensure that adequate funds (sales) are available to permit the ReStore to carry out its operation and mission by meeting strategic plan sales goals
  • Drive box truck to pick up corporate and individual donations
  • Attend networking and public relations events to promote CVH4H and the ReStore
  • Ensure donations adhere to government regulations, as well as, the policies of CVH4H and HFH International
  • Serve as spokesperson for the ReStore
  • Actively engage appropriate community groups which share the goals of HFH and the ReStore
  • Complete monthly reports to the Director and/or Board
  • Meet regularly with the Executive Director to set and review sales, goals, budgets, and strategic plan progress
  • Participate in long range planning and visioning
  • Complete annual ReStore report for Habitat International
  • Ensure store is staffed during all open hours of operation and cover shifts as manager on duty as needed
  • Assist Executive Director HR items
  • Make suggestions and help to improve, and enforce store procedures, guidelines and performance standards
  • Maintain a climate which attracts, keeps, and motivates staff and volunteers
  • Exceptional customer service procedures
  • Oversee development and implementation of communications / marketing plan
  • Other duties as needed/assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 3 years’ experience with retail, sales, managerial, or customer service field
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Clear driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check for insurance
  • Experience driving larger trucks with ability to drive a 16’ box truck (no CDL required)
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis, with 75+ pounds occasionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • History of soliciting donations
  • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background checks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public speaking experience
  • Nonprofit management experience
  • Possess a basic understanding of tools, building and remodeling items, hardware, and construction terminology
