Supports the development of a knowledge-sharing culture, and applies a strategic lens to establishing creative mechanisms to use knowledge to drive value. Standardizes systems for organizing, documenting, retaining, and disseminating knowledge gained from the company’s research and programs. Manages the Knowledge Exchange team, which includes library services and organizational information programs, whose responsibility is to relentlessly gather, synthesize and make available strategic information across departments, operating units and technical domains. Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures related to the production of manuals, guides, and reports.
- Supports the knowledge needs of current and future programs, research and marketing efforts, in support the company’s mission and goals.
- Provides technical expertise in the implementation and monitoring of a unified knowledge management system that captures company experience in programs, services, and research at the global, regional, and country levels.
- Manages staff from library services, information programs and others whose primary responsibility is to synthesize and make available strategic information across the organization.
- Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures related to the production of various knowledge products; this may include manuals, guides, and reports.
- Strengthens the organization’s ability to collaborate effectively across organizational and geographic units and to collect, synthesize, analyze, publish and utilize strategic information.
- Tracks use and effectiveness of KX services within the organization.
- Supports Corporate Communications and other departments to promote FHI 360 knowledge and thought leadership.
- Provides leadership to key projects and processes that strengthen operations.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages/tracks special projects and initiatives
- Works collaboratively with other groups, departments and teams to improve internal processes and gain efficiencies.
- Ensures strengthening of the knowledge management platform.

- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of knowledge management experience.

- Ability to manage a service-oriented team.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Prior work experience in a preferably large, non-governmental organization (NGO) and/or private sector company.
- Understanding of international development arena.
