The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Resuscitation Program Manager based in Dubai ! This position is responsible for providing consultation, support and services to the AHA International ECC staff and volunteers on matters relating to establishment and administration of the ECC training programs in MENA markets. Manages assigned projects and programs supporting the growth of the MENA Training Network. Functions include, but are not limited to, consultation and mentoring to developing international training centers, monitoring MENA training activities, budget monitoring, and conference management. Will act as change agent to implement ECC MENA training program initiatives. Supports relationships between MENA components of the ECC training network and international training community.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide consultation and support to parties or organizations expressing interest in establishing AHA training programs in MENA boundaries. Maintain contact and provide follow up to parties or organizations who have initiated the ITC application process.
  • In consultation with the Territory Director of MENA and the ECC Intl. Program Development Mgr., plan instructor development for new ITCs (International Training Centers) and for ITCs adding disciplines and support and services to ECC s
  • Review MENA training communications for appropriateness for international release; recommend alterations.taff on matters relating to MENA ECC Training Programs
  • Identifies and develops volunteer faculty to support ongoing growth of the training network.
  • Provide quality review with existing ITCs for compliance with AHA policies, in coordination with ECC Intl. Development Mgr. Implement remediation plans as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of entire ECC product line to help meet customer needs
  • Respond to correspondence relating to ECC training programs
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Ability to conceive, plan, implement and monitor projects and conferences for inception through follow-up
  • AHA instructor level certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has served as Training Center Faculty
  • Understanding of cultural differences and demonstrates cultural sensitivity
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office™ products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Skilled in written and oral communications. Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Ability to prioritize projects, meet multiple deadlines and handle several large projects simultaneously and develop, monitor, and work within an assigned budget

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of national Emergency Cardiovascular Care/CPR programs, policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and/or converse in language(s) in addition to English
