Our growing Association in Bucks County is seeking a dynamic Development professional to lead our Individual Giving & Annual Campaigns.
The Director of Development (Annual Campaign and Individual Giving) is responsible for providing leadership for annual campaign and stewardship activities for the YMCA of Bucks County by maintaining a pipeline of philanthropic support for all operational and programmatic needs.
Manage annual campaign program that support the YMCA of Bucks County – Upper Bucks Region which includes individual giving, major gifts program, grant, and corporate funding programs.
Annual Campaign (60%):
- Responsible for the creation and execution of the annual Development budget for the Upper Bucks Region
- In conjunction with the Regional Directors of Development, provide development staff support and coaching to YMCA branch executive leadership
- Work in collaboration with the Membership and Marketing Departments to support member to donor conversion
- Ensure that strategic and prioritized activities are in place to successfully achieve the annual campaign goal
- Work in conjunction with Y-USA guidelines for implementation of the Y brand and the Nationwide Campaign
- In collaboration with the Regional Director of Developments develop grant proposals and communicate with other staff to ensure grant compliance
- Coordinate production and implementation of direct mail, social media and other campaign appeals
- Manage and maintain confidentiality of the donor database
Stewardship Activities (20%):
- Ensure that all acknowledgments and stewardship activities required to support a healthy campaign are completed in a timely fashion
- Ensure that campaign signage is updated and positive avenues of communication are maintained
- Work with development team to ensure that all donor communications including the newsletter and annual report are completed in a timely and professional manner
- Identify key community contacts for donor cultivation and stewardship
Volunteer Committee Development (10%):
- Work with other members of the development team to build and lead strong community campaign volunteer teams for the Upper Bucks Region
- Provide direction, adhere to a regular meeting schedule and implement results-driven strategies for successful annual campaign growth
Other (10%):
- Actively participate in Walk the Talk and adhere to the schedule
- Model relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions and maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Attend and participate in all committee, staff and organizational meetings as needed
- Adhere to the Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) Code for Ethical Standards for responsible fundraising practices
- Follow all Human Resources Policies and procedures of the organization
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
- 3-5 years of professional experience with a background in fundraising in the YMCA or another not-for-profit organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in identifying, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers.
- Strong analytical skills, with capacity to self-motivate and work independently.
- Must have excellent computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as online database platforms.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to work well with community, staff, and volunteers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive donor information.
- Attend Listen First training within six months of date of hire

Salary: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00
