Staff Accountant

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties, including daily operations, such as invoicing and journal entries, month and year end closing, audit and reconciliations for Mission Aligned Business Operations.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Prepare and input monthly entries including, but not limited to; sales recognition and accounts receivables
  • Assist in uploading of international sales orders and credits monthly, generating invoices and answering questions from customers about payments and invoice issues.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation between sales, cash receipts (credit cards), receivable, and bank deposits.
  • Prepare, update and review all Accounts Receivable entries related to invoiced sales and payments. Create invoice/statements based upon Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoiced sales. Create credit memos and apply to related invoices when needed. Apply cash payments to invoices on time to ensure AR accounts stay current.
  • Prepare and review necessary A/R aging reports to ascertain accounts are current and provide any A/R collection follow up, if necessary.
  • Provide assistance for online product sales setup and revenue reporting.
  • Prepare detailed monthly reporting on revenue
  • Provide support in preparation of international tax return filing quarterly.
  • Assist in preparation of year-end analysis and entries as required to accurately reflect our business units’ financial position and performance per General Accepted Accounting Principal.
  • Provide support in developing and/or refining processes including, but not limited to; reconciliations, collections, A/R and invoicing processes.
  • Perform any accounting related tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum two years of experience in the related field
  • Intermediate-Advanced Microsoft Excel Training, pivot tables, large amounts of data
  • Responsible for product sales reconciliations via PayPal credit card processing and/or FastSpring for international sales.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly effective organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Detail and deadline oriented.
