The American Heart Association has an excellent job opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Digital Development at our office located in Dallas, TX. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversee the Sitcore/.NET delivery team (developers, BA, PM and QA team), including providing support in prioritizing and resourcing the team to meet Sprint goals, and Project goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to the development team on proposed solution/implementation design and ensure it aligns with the Business goals and requirements and leads to business success.
  • Understand business processes, bring forth solutions, constraints, and provide path towards meeting goals.
  • Responsible for the applications and websites built on the Sitecore Platform on the Azure/AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with other Business Technology teams around Infrastructure, Communications, Network and Database Server Administration as required during project builds and go-live deployments.
  • Ensure coding development best practices (code, quality, security & performance) are employed in the development and deployment of the Sitecore based web applications.
  • Perform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance reviews and coaching and developing staff. Manage performance concerns and disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work with business partners / Product Owners to understand needs and help support backlog prioritizing for Sitecore platform.
  • Develop influential working relationships with BT leadership, Business stakeholders and other BT teams and external partners/vendors.
  • Review estimations and budgetary proposals from external partners/vendors, help with validation and assessment.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology with working knowledge of managing a specific technology discipline (.NET, Sitecore), e.g. application product areas and associated interfaces.
  • 10+ years; management/supervisory experience in specific IT functional area discipline, e.g. applications development.
  • Strong competency in project management and execution of multiple or large projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile & Waterfall development processes and tools (Azure DevOps, Project plans, etc)
  • Experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal/external stakeholders and articulate business needs into technical solutions and vice-versa.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Sitecore Platform ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge with Azure and AWS cloud services and components.
  • Solid understanding of build and deployment processes, DevOps tools and practices.
  • Web application design/solution trends aptitude including understanding of Web services architectures, MVC architectures, Content Management solutions
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A good communicator, presenter, and collaborator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor and coach development teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Non-profit industry experience (fundraising, volunteerism, professional community)
  • WordPress Content Management experience
  • Understanding of compliance controls around HIPAA, PCI, and PII.
  • Mobile application technologies
  • SSO technologies
  • Understanding of Network components and layers utilized in Web applications architectures, e.g. Firewalls, DNS, Proxy, Load Balancing, etc.
