The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Digital Developer at our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas .

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop software artifacts based on requirements, solution architecture, application architecture, and development standards, such as VSTS and Git. Collaborate with Business Teams to analyze and understand the business model and architectural/application requirements.
  • Analyze the business requirement and appropriate IT technologies required to achieve the stated business needs and evaluate the final product.
  • Maintain, design, and develop web applications and WEB API by using Microsoft technologies, including VS 2017, MVC 5.0, C#, SQL, Azure Cloud & Storage; and other programming languages, including Angular 5, React, Dapper ORM, Oauth 2.0, OpenId connect, and SAML 2.0.
  • Test developed software in unit and integrated testing cycles and support user acceptance testing and defect remediation.
  • Perform incident troubleshooting, resolve incoming problem tickets and defects, including preliminary debugging, triaging, escalating, and communicating back to management or customers on issue resolution.
  • Support the clarification and refinement of business requirements.
  • Provide project deliverables estimations based on requirements and functional specifications.
  • Provide coordination, production, and project support.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Experience and skill set must include: 

  • Five years of experience in software development using Microsoft .NET full-stack and related technologies.
  • Five years of experience in web development technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Extensible Markup Language (XML) and C# programming.
  • Five years of experience in REST Web API, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Entity Framework.
  • Three years of experience using MVC 5.
  • Two years of experience in SQL Server database development, including Transact-SQL and table design.
  • Two years of experience writing Stored Procedures.
  • Two years of experience with ticketing systems (Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), Cherwell, Team Foundation Server).
  • Two years of experience in troubleshooting web application defects and debugging with browser tools.
  • Three years of experience with VSTS, or similar project tracking tools (GIT, Team Foundation Server).
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Two years of experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Two years of experience with Sitecore, or similar CMS development and administration.
  • Two years of experience with Azure platform (Apps Services, WebJob, Azure Functions, Microservices, Azure Storages).
  • Two years of experience with identity management solutions Single Sign On (SSO), SAML2.0, Identity Server, Component Space.
  • Two years of experience with PDF creation technology including iTextSharp and QuickResponse (QR) Code generation.
  • Three years of experience with Entity Framework Library, and similar technologies, including Dapper.
