The Program Director – Heart Walk will be part of the national team responsible for the strategic direction and significant revenue increase of the Heart Walk campaign. The Heart Walk is the largest fundraising event for the American Heart Association and the second largest peer-to-peer fundraising campaign in the industry raising over $124M.
The National Heart Walk Team drives campaign management, sales strategy, brand management, customer experience and product development strategies Heart Walk.
The Program Director – Heart Walk will focus on the development and execution of the field marketing playbook and execution in areas such as corporate recruitment, peer-to-peer revenue growth, volunteer leadership development, customer experience and campaign analysis for the National Heart Walk Team.
The incumbent will work with market leaders to deliver successful implementation of our sales, brand, experience strategies as it relates to Heart Walk. Through consultation and collaboration, the Program Director – Heart Walk will help Affiliates and events focus on the highest impact priorities in order to drive goal achievement, while effectively balancing a strategic (big picture) focus with day-to-day execution.
The Program Director – Heart Walk will report to the National Director- Heart Walk work with National and Affiliate leaders to identify, develop, and mentor a highly engaged, high performing staff team committed to understanding and achieving the health, revenue, and volunteerism goals of the Association.

- Develop and execute the field marketing playbook and execution in areas such as corporate recruitment, peer-to-peer revenue growth, volunteer leadership development, customer experience and campaign analysis for the National Heart Walk Team.
- 2+ years experience in a similar role or in a role leading a similar campaign with year over year growth
- Proven track record of success in peer-to-peer fundraising
- Skilled in oral and written communications
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills
- Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
- Knowledge of Blackbaud Event Management System
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
