The Prodcut & Development Manager: Brain Health is responsible for creating and executing a product and market development launch plan, leading human centered design and testing approaches, analyzing and incorporating user feedback analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders and key stakeholders to successfully execute the product development plan.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Research, evaluate, approve, and create strategy for product development prospects through quantitative, qualitative, and operational analysis. Understand business, competitive market, and customer needs for product. Develop short- and long-term product portfolio and life-cycle strategy including resolving go-to-market and key product issues.
- Design, research, and analyze product concerns or problems through the human lens. Identify insights or opportunities and collaborate with others to drive innovative product solutions. Dig into challenging, ambiguous, human-centered problems where brain science and emerging consumer health platforms converge.
- Identify and build partnership strategies to access key markets and co-development partners.
- Bring ideas to life through a variety of design media, from hand-drawn storyboards to concept prototypes.
- Organize, prioritize, manage project timelines and meet competing deadlines using best practices in project and program development procedures.
- Champion design excellence within various related teams, illuminating the difference between “good” and “great” work, and inspiring teams to achieve vision and goals.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Science, Engineering, Public Health, or related area
Skills/Experience:
- Experience in Product Management, product launch or development of go-to-market strategies
- Experience leading others to accomplish goals; views problem solving as a team sport; open to growth and learning both professionally and personally
- Entrepreneurial experience or new product ideation experience from concept to prototype testing and market launch
- Familiar with ideation strategies and approaches, strategy development and execution, strong executive presence and ability to use informal influence across a wide diversity of stakeholders.
- Creative problem solver and ability to leverage existing organizational resources to achieve goals
- Ability to translate data into analysis; insights into actions and effectively communicate findings to drive go and no go decision-making
- Thrives in ambiguous and challenging business environments; confident but flexible mindset who values diverse opinions to test key assumptions; ability to set and deliver agreed upon goals.
- Strong business acumen and persistence in the face of obstacles; ability to read people and situations and adjust accordingly; ability to handle stressful situations in a positive, win-win perspective
- Ability to lead course correction when necessary and ensure open communication channels with key stakeholders promoting collaborative and strong interpersonal working relationships
- Ability to develop, analyze and report key performance metrics to ensure accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient at facilitating ideation process and supporting prototype and user testing and feedback
- User experience design and development
- MBA or PhD preferred in relevant scientific area
