Serving over 241,000 members, volunteers and program participants, through 19 branches and 2 camps, the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is one of the premier associations in the country. Currently, we are searching for a Grant Manager to support all processes related to grant development, including grant writing, editing, stewardship, reporting, and grants communications for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. The role is critical to the success of the Development office and will work with prospective Foundation and Corporate offices and YMCA Association and Branch program teams. In addition, the role offers experience with and exposure to all processes and systems that create a high-functioning development team.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Research, identify, write, edit and submit grant applications and LOI's that result in funds for agency's core programs and capital needs
  • Work closely with Association and Branch Program staff to gather needed information for grants and reports
  • Oversight of an annual grant and reports calendar; provide on-going report of grants progress monthly
  • Works collaboratively with Director of Development in solicitation, cultivation and stewardship of new and existing grant relationships
  • Works closely with Impact Specialist to refresh community need data and reporting structures
  • Supports the Development team to accomplish department and agency goals.
  • This team player will manage all processes related to foundation grant development, including grant research, writing, editing, stewardship, reporting and grants communications for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.
  • This role offers experience with and exposure to all processes and systems that create a high-functioning development team.
  • This is a full-time, in-house position; no contract requests, please.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's level education from an accredited institution is preferred. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • We are seeking an experienced leader who has strong research, writing and editing skills, the ability to execute multiple deadline-based projects at a time, with high attention to detail and workflow process.
  • Proficient in donor management software, Microsoft Office tools and grant research engines.
  • A minimum of two years in a grant or technical writing position is required.

Salary: $40,350.00 - $50,000.00
