The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Global Distribution Manager based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX! This individual acts as a focal point for all aspects of AHA’s ECC material distribution. Actively works to develop and maintain a customer service relationship with AHA’s third party distribution partners. Works to resolve all distribution related problems in a timely manner. Maintains cross-functional communication within the AHA to ensure that issues are recognized and addressed quickly. Key departments included in this cross-functional communication include: Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), Distribution, Purchasing, Production and Finance.
- Reviews, enhances and monitors all processes associated with vendor orders to ensure they are accurately entered, pulled and shipped in a timely manner. Works with outsource vendor to improve all processes for distributors and customers
- Responsible for announcing product availability as appropriate. Monitors status and development of ECC products and is involved in inventory planning of ECC products. Is involved in inventory planning of ECC products utilizing ECC sales data to identify and monitor cyclical trends in the sale of ECC products to the end-user
- Maintains communication with customers with regard to backorders, availability and delivery status. Verifies and processes credits
- Addresses and resolves issues including: Short shipped orders, billing issues, defective material sent to distributors, reimbursements from vendors for defective materials and price discrepancies
- Maintains communication with ECC, Production, Purchasing, Distribution and Finance staff and advises appropriately
- Recommends actions required to resolve issues
- Works with international department to support international distribution processes
- Maintains customer self help site for CDs and DVDs
- Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay
- At least four (4) years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and working skills in the best practices and principles of inventory management and product distribution.
- Cross-functional problem solving experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (written and verbal) at various levels inside and outside the organization
- Ability to make decisions and act independently with an understanding of the implications of the decisions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products with special emphasis on Excel
- Demonstrates analytical skills
- The above knowledge, skills and abilities can be obtained through a combination of four (4) years of experience in material distribution inventory management and customer service. This experience includes resolving distribution related problems, managing all aspects of distributors orders, resolving billing discrepancies and monitoring all processes to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. Good customer service and communication skills are essential
