ECC Application Analyst

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Application Analyst in our Emergency Cardiovascular Care deparment at our National Center office locaed in Dallas, TX! Responsible for technical management and administration of AHA’s business technology applications (operating on internal or cloud platforms, such as Services as a Software (SaaS) applications). Responsible for data analysis, requirements, upgrades, modifications, troubleshooting, training and documenting best practices. Also, responsible for building and managing relationship(s) with application vendor(s) to communicate modifications or customization.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinates systems setup and corrections for Project Managers, Product Leads, ECC Management, Finance or Marketing. Works with the National Engagement Center or other external support to ensure proper setup and system support for complex activities within the LMS, eCommerce, Training Central, Instructor Network, eBook Store and Exam Engine. Administration duties include content testing, systems setup, product roll-outs, security, workflow, schedules and maintenance, configuration and participation on customer calls
  • Maintains applications level Subject Matter Expertise on all AHA ECC Systems, Integration Points and reporting mechanisms. Works closely with both internal and external contacts, acting as a Product Manager for eLearning.heart.org and eCommerce systems, maintaining documentation and enhancement requests (backlogs). Liaises with Product Manager counterparts at AHA Partner Organizations (RQIP, Laerdal Medical and Laerdal Bangalore) frequently to plan technical development activities, ensuring AHA's requirements are prioritized properly and executed in a timely fashion
  • Provides technical expertise on LMS, eCommerce and integrations with other ECC Systems. Establishes/maintainsdocumentation on other systems and integration points for supporting systems (internal and external)
  • Ensure that ECC Systems, Products and Services, hosted or sold through ECC systems are developed, launched and accessible to customers in the most effective, timely and customer-centric way. Creates and maintains technical and business documentation to support said initiatives. Trains other interested stakeholders in operational procedures. Assist with coordinating and testing system setups, new feature, service or product deployments
  • Maintains data integrity rules and processes for ECC Systems, specifically eLearning.heart.org, eCommerce and any integration points into or out of those systems
  • Utilizes reporting systems to run regular statistical management reports from the various systems. Develops ad hoc and specialized reports as required
  • Works in the CPR & First Aid business unit, and is responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and managing strategies for using the various systems to meet ECC’s goals. Works with project managers, Instructional Designers, Multimedia Specialists, Programmers and Subject Matter Experts
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five (5) years of experience in an IT role or related technically focused position
  • Three (3) years of experience with other learning management system in an administrative role
  • Three (3) years of experience in training and instruction
  • Three (3) years of experience working with customer in a consultative manner
  • Three (3) years of experience with data migration
  • Three (3) years of experience with system integrations
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to extract data from various data systems (LMS, eCommerce, MSD, Instructor Network, Training Central, Exam Engine and Data Warehouse), analyze data/results, and prepare information in report form for presentation
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills. Willingness to reach out to staff, volunteers, customers and partner organizations to proactively share information, knowledge, expertise, and time with others to achieve common goals
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient skills in HTML and XML
  • Ability to travel up to 10% locally and overnight stay
