Responsible for leading development, design, and launch of digital marketing/advertising and social media strategies to achieve business objectives of Portfolio marketing plan. Responsible for collaborating across organization and working closely with Communications, Brand Management, Public Relations, Digital Content & Marketing, and Corporate Relations Departments to execute digital advertising or social media content creation and listening plans aligned with AHA brand and national communications objectives.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop digital and social media strategy to meet the needs of the Portfolio marketing plan. Establish and manage social media services, social customer relationship management (CRM), listening or command center and influencer strategy in support of Portfolio and sponsor objectives.
  • Create integrated marketing communications strategies with social media, mobile and other digital channels. Work closely with senior executives, volunteers, business units, influencers and affiliates to evangelize new concepts. Plan, execute and optimize successful social media, communications and marketing campaigns and prove the value of social media.
  • Oversees the strategy, development and implementation of digital advertising buys as well as social content and listening strategies for National Development Ttam portfolios.
  • Evaluates social and digital advertising strategies and tactics to determine campaign effectiveness, evaluating progress against measurable goals and efficient use of cross-functional resources.
  • Serve as lead and own the portfolio brand voice, content marketing, publishing and moderation execution across digital channels like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other AHA/ASA business teams, serving as liaison for the National Develpment team, integrating as appropriate to help execute social media and digital advertising deliverables.
  • Determine metrics of success and assess effectiveness of social media marketing initiatives and investments; influence investment decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.
  • Collaborate with National Development Team to create sponsor recognition plans as appropriate. Create individual assets for each sponsor, based on sponsors needs and approval. Track sponsor content on all platforms to ensure objectives are met. Report ROI on the sponsor plan.
  • Work with National Developme team, Masterbrand Social Team and AHA/ASA leadership to ensure timely and appropriate response to crises. Implement process for quick response to crises that require immediate reaction.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitive strategies to identify potential challenges and opportunities in the short- and long-term. Participate in continuing social media education by attending conferences, seminars, professional groups, etc. as this is an ever-changing field.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field, preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 5 years successful professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency or in- house Web team for a product-driven
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective
  • Able to present concepts and lead internal teams to the correct
  • Experience in web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, FTP, web design and development principles
  • Deep knowledge with Web design processes
  • Experience designing e-commerce websites or advertising
  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop in particular
