The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Data and Reporting Administrator in our Emergency Cardiovascular Department located at our National Center office in Dallas, TX!

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Data and Reporting Administrator will oversee the design, production, quality and accuracy of Data and reports for ECC. This individual will need to be a critical thinker who is able to continuously assess and improve ECC's data collection and reporting needs and processes. The Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of ECC reporting from data quality assurance, report generation, distribution and analysis of statistics, trends and outcomes. Will serve as the business owner and subject matter expert of the ECC datawarehouse. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assists with the automation of new and existing reports into a media that can be easily interpreted by stakeholders
  • Elicits reporting requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, business and workflow analysis with various internal customers to identify and understand their business needs leading to the creation, maintanance, modification, automation and generation of reports
  • Delivers recurring and ad-hoc reports to support field operations, internal customers and various ECC business initiatives
  • Identifies, tracks, reports on and resolves data and reporting issues in a timely manner
  • Serves as the business owner and subject matter expert on the design of the ECC database
  • Provides expert analysis, expertise and guidance regarding appropriate interpretations of data
  • Coordinates or independently completes special projects
  • Monitors ECC Sales Database to ensure data quality
  • Monitors internal data and source systems to identify anomalies. Considers alternate solutions and makes recommendations
  • Interacts professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least six (6) months of relevant experience
  • Advanced User-Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop processes and procedures to meet the data and reporting needs of ECC
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Business and Process Documentation
  • Communications with varied organizational tiers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Trained in or familiarity with using Microsoft Dynamics
  • Familiarity with Dashboard reporting, database design
