The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Contract and Bid Administrator based out of National Center located in Dallas, TX!

This individual will be responsible for completing and processing of bids for Group Processing Organizations, State & City Contracts, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) contracts, National Account Contracts, Distributor Contracts and Federal contracts which includes preparing all documents required for responses and submitting bid paperwork. Responsible for reviewing and managing contract/bid activity for ECC business unit following standard procedures for agreements in compliance with Legal Department policies and guidelines. Also, will coordinate with team to ensure bids and all reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Prepare, complete and edit bids for Group Processing Organizations, State & City Contracts, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) contracts, National Account Contracts, Distributor Contracts and Federal contracts
  • Conducts contract review, evaluation, renewal and termination procedures. Develops effective proposal templates and supporting documents
  • Creates, develops, completes and distributes required reports to customers in compliance with bid/contract requirements
  • Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives
  • Coordinate with customers and AHA staff to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms
  • Works with appropriate management and legal staff in the completion of bids, amendments and extensions to contracts
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in business, related area or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two (2) years of experience completing bids for state and city contracts
  • Two (2) years of experience with purchasing contracts and agreements; familiarity with contract terminology and contract structure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven self-starter and ability to meet strict deadlines

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Para-legal certification
  • Two (2) years of experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations
