The American Heart Assocation has an excellent opportunity for a Continuing Education Administrator in our Emergency Cardiovascular Care department based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX!
This individual will be responsible for the management and implementation of all CE/CME processes and requirements for healthcare learning programs produced by the AHA Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) department and RQI Partners, a subsidiary company of the AHA and Laerdal Medical. Responsible for providing administrative support and management of inventory related to ECC educational programs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develops and executes short and long-term plans for completing continuing education/continuing medical education (CE/CME) activities in ECC and RQI Partners. Uses expertise in professional education requirements and familiarity with educational design and methods to set departmental standards and best practices in CE/CME
- Creates and maintains written documentation on requirements and processes. Educates product development teams to ensure standards are followed
- Establishes schedules for accreditation, initial continuing education, renewal, and reconciliation processes with several accrediting organizations
- Handles administrative tasks supporting ECC educational programs (invoice processing, contract management, meeting setup, meeting minutes, budget planning, etc). Provides administrative support to Director of Education
- Partners with the Lifelong Learning department to submit accurate planning documents and fulfill data requirements for appropriate accreditation and reporting
- Manages ECC’s medical training equipment at the Materials Resource Center warehouse in Mesquite, TX. Creates and maintains inventory lists. Develops and continuously improves processes for check-out, delivery, and tracking. Works with the Senior Training Consultant to identify needs for new items and replacements; budgets for and orders equipment as needed
- Serves as Project Coordinator on the international Saving Children’s Lives program and other educational product development teams as assigned
- Maintains awareness of developments and trends in professional education. Continuously increases organizational agility and upgrades understanding of AHA/RQI Partners educational products, strategies, content, and audiences
Educational Background:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience
- Experience implementing continuing education or continuing medical education accreditation process, requirements, and programs
- Familiarity with educational design and methods
- Strong written and verbal business communication, excellent organizational skills, customer service oriented
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint
- Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay
