Business Insights Manager, Field Development

Responsible for leading data driven business analytics and consumer insights for the association’s field campaign in order to innovate strategies and build toward $1 billion in revenue. Responsible for partnering with business leads and program managers to develop business solution options and align strategies to drive revenue, donations, recruitment, and donor retention within the AHA. Responsible for seeking opportunities for innovation and growth, evaluating future trends and providing research for new business and revenue opportunities.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Researches, analyzes and evaluates Field Campaigns and related business activities to identify opportunities for improvement or innovation in national event fundraising strategies.
  • Creates data driven business development recommendations. Applies analysis and communicates results to provide knowledgeable insight into existing or potential fundraising strategies.
  • Develops standards and creates key performance indicators (KPI) through data analysis to provide field fundraisers accurate measurement tools across the organization. Produces regular communication focused on actions to be taken in order to turn or leverage the assigned campaign.
  • Designs and presents reports and insights on revenue, recruitment and external landscape. Develops and delivers information via dashboards or other effective delivery systems to senior leadership across the field.
  • Ensures leadership receives the analytics and data necessary to improve and drive sales strategies and execution. Works across national and field staff to develop forecasts and projections. Tracks team progress on project deliverables and informs staff on progress and obstacles.
  • Develops medium and long-term roadmap for data analytics capabilities in collaboration with technology teams. Manages process to provide KPI and data output for Monthly Business Review with Executive Leadership. Meets with business partners to understand data analysis needs and propose solutions.
  • Recruits, retains, and motivates staff. Participates in the AHA annual planning process providing resource allocation information, high-level project estimates and technical guidance to the appropriate audience.
  • Manages and provides leadership regarding special projects, project teams and/or task forces related to Field Operations campaign and analysis.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related certifications
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8 years experience in sales or fundraising strategies and analysis.
  • 5 years experience developing revenue and business insight reporting and dashboards.
  • 3 years experience with one or more of the following software and systems: Tableau, SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Proficient in data integration, analysis, and visualization
  • Comprehensive understanding of database management and integration related to revenue, sales and related consumer data.
  • Advanced skills in CRM systems and tools (e.g., Luminate, OneHeart etc.) in order to create business rules and leverage the data.
  • Ability to creatively explore new methods for achieving operational goals.
  • Ability to develop strategic relationships, navigate corporate cultures and manage group processes.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Advanced SQL data manipulation skills, preferred.
