The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX .
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for creating test materials, including test cases, test scripts, test data, defect management, issue resolution and production implementation. Responsible for actively participating on assigned project teams which perform the following project activities: initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing by increasing the quality of the deliverables.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Create test materials, including test cases, test scripts, test data, defect management, and issue resolution for production implementations.
- Review and understand project scope, business requirements, business requirement traceability for Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results to comply with project management and audit practices.
- Establish and execute acceptance criteria for test case scenarios with expected results for assigned project.
- Implement and document test plan and results.
- Document and resolve defects.
- Perform root cause analysis as requested or required.
- Create UAT plans and coordinate implementation.
- Record test results and communicate defects.
- Assist with resolution of defects and ensure QA/UAT approvals are achieved.
- Prepare and communicate UAT status and reporting.
- Document and communicate UAT analysis, metrics, and project status to management, testers, or stakeholders.
- Adhere to project scope and schedule.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related certification or equivalent work experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Four (4) years of experience in a quality assurance or testing role on projects using a formal methodology.
- Four (4) years of experience testing in a Windows environment.
- Four (4) years of experience developing and executing test scripts.
- Three (3) years of experience in manual testing of web-based applications.
- Three (3) years of experience with web-based testing browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Safari.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in defect tracking tools.
Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:
- Basic skills in SharePoint and Visio.
- Three (3) years of experience in Information Technology department of medium to large company.
- One (1) years of experience with automated testing.
- One (1) years of experience testing mobile applications.
- Basic skills in regression and black box testing as well as security and identity management solutions.
