The Partnerships Officer – Corporate Engagement will lead and be responsible for end-to-end management of the corporate partnerships’ portfolio of World Vision Lanka (WVL). Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Partnerships & Local Fund Raising, the Partnerships Officer – Corporate Engagement will manage relationships with existing corporate partners and seek out strategic opportunities to further strengthen these relationships, as well as acquire new corporate partners to meet the strategic objectives of the Corporate Partnerships team and WVL. The position will identify, pursue, and negotiate financial and non-financial partnerships with a range of partners within the corporate sector, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of projects within these partnerships, and expanding these partnerships. This position will also assist in connecting the communities WVL works in to corporate partners to ensure sustainability of the projects WVL implements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Acquiring new corporate partners to meet the targeted funding requirements of the Division by engaging with the corporates in the form of strategic partnerships, Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) and Business to Business (B2B) partnerships
  • Conflict resolution and problem solving – through effective communication, engagement & negotiation effectively manager internal & external stakeholders analyse risks during proposal/project development & implement phase and develop proactive & creative strategies to identify & mitigate risks/address issues
  • Managing key relationships through continuous follow-up and aiming to retaining key contacts through regular and continuous communications- Build strong relationships with CSR managers and marketing teams of corporates to initiate partnerships and sustain relationships
  • Project monitoring & reporting - Monitor project progress for compliance and quality within agreed standards & timelines & submit project progress reports to the corporate partners/relevant stakeholders while working closely with project operations teams, technical experts & the relevant stakeholders.
  • Team player contributing effectively to team/organisational goals/priorities – Work with the Junior Partnership Officer & Partnership Officer- Marketing in the promotion & development of concept notes, project proposals, marketing material and engage with relevant stakeholders including Communications team, other NGO’s Govt & corporates in promoting & creating potential opportunities to further organisational program/projects for the well-being of children in the communities we serve
Educational Background: 
Diploma/Degree in Business management or Marketing or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Sales, Marketing and relationship management exposure of at least 03 years(preferred)
  • Relationship management skills to effectively manage the Corporate partnerships ,
  • Sales and Marketing skills to acquire new relationships
  • Coordinate and network effectively with other units and operation
  • Advanced knowledge of development and political context in the country and WVL ministry
  • Good proposal writing and presentation skills in English
  • Good IT skills with ability to work well with MS Office Suite
