To provide management and technical support in the marketing component of the project in the respective province in accordance with relevant Grant strategies, policies and standards to achieve the overall project goal.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Project management

  • Facilitate, identification and formation of the producer groups
  • Form and strengthen village, divisional and district level enterprise forums
  • Facilitate value chain analysis
  • Ensure project activities related to marketing are implemented in accordance with internal and external Policies and Procedures.

Competency Development

  • Conduct need assessment to identify the capacity gaps of producer groups and enterprise forums
  • Develop plans and capacitate producer groups and enterprise forums
  • Develop the capacities of project Assistants based on the identified capacity gaps.
  • Preparation and Implementation of a yearly personal development plan – as per the agreement with the supervisor

Networking and partnership

  • Map and identify the relevant partners and link the beneficiaries for marketing purpose
  • Create linkages between cooperate sector & private partnership
  • Link the producer groups with enterprise forums and other relevant partners.
  • Initiate Partnership with GOSL, Other INGOs , UN Organizations and Other Private partners.

Learning and Knowledge Management

  • Capture learning through regular reflections and maintain evidence based documentation.
  • Conduct appropriate marketing related research
  • Intentional and continuous monitoring of the project impact
  • Preparation and Implementation of a yearly personal development plan – as per the agreement with the supervisor
Educational Background: 
Bachelor Degree in Social Science or related
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of five years of field experience in Community Market linkage and
  • Strong Project management experience with Grant management (including staffing and financial management) preferred.
  • Prior experience in having worked with Disable and vulnerable women groups
  • Local value Chain Product development.
  • Saving habits replication.
  • Willing to travel domestically

  • Fluency and good command of spoken and written English and Tamil language

  • Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
