About the Program: Movement Labs is launching 'Beers & Ballots,' an innovative program designed to leverage blue-city/-state volunteers for swing-state voter impact.
Beers & Ballots organizers and volunteers go to bars showing football games for swing state teams (or, in swing states, any bars), then buy patrons a drink who help mobilize their swing state friends to vote.
About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic, scrappy, dedicated, and goal-oriented Field Organizer to lead Beers & Ballots in their respective city.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Get permission to run Beers & Ballots program at local bars.
- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for game days.
- Sign up bar patrons yourself (you will be responsible for around 25% of your signup goals).
- Track and accurately report on data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least one year or one cycle experience in community organizing, outreach, or electoral campaigns.
- Ideally, experience with street or door canvassing, and certainly no hesitations about approaching strangers!
- Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for relationship-building.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Recruitment and training experience.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Passionate about community engagement for social change.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently.
- Familiarity with local city.
Benefits
This is a temporary position through November 15.
Salary: $60,000/year, with possibility of performance bonuses for exceeding signup goals.
