The Manager of Corporate Partnerships leads account management for an assigned portfolio of charitable funding relationships with Feeding America’s leading corporate partners. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serves in an account service role, providing day-to-day relationship management for assigned accounts. Leads donor solicitation, stewardship, communication and issue resolution for assigned accounts.
  • Prepares gift solicitation and stewardship documents; helps conceive and execute partners’ cause marketing programs; coordinates among internal teams at Feeding America to create content and ensure strong cause marketing activation at national and local levels.
  • Actively solicits six to seven-figure gifts from assigned accounts. Responsible for meeting annual, personal fundraising targets in support of the Corporate Partnerships team’s fundraising and operating revenue goals.
  • Builds a defined donor strategy for this portfolio of relationships under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Partnerships. Seeks ways to broaden partners’ support across philanthropic giving, cause marketing and employee engagement to build holistic partnerships in support of Feeding America’s mission. Builds collaborative relationships with member food banks for the linkage of corporate partnerships between local and national levels.
  • Provides support to the Director of Corporate Partnerships and other leaders on the Corporate Partnerships team as requested, including special projects and cross-functional committee work.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS or relevant experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five years or more of experience in supporting high-level account management, preferably in a national non-profit setting

  • Collaborates Internally and Externally – Ability to collaborate across a variety of internal departments as well as network food banks and corporate partners and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Manages for Results – Strong project management skills necessary to manage and coordinate multiple relationships and projects with corporate partners; effectively prioritizes work, as needed.
  • Leverages Functional Expertise – Ability to proactively and independently manage all aspects of the corporate fundraising cycle including donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, communication and issue resolution for assigned accounts.
  • Translates Strategy to Operational Goals – Ability to understand and articulate overall institutional strategy, priority initiatives and fundable opportunities and then engage corporate partners in supporting our highest priority work in achievement of our goals.

Required Technical Competencies and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience and track record in corporate fundraising and/or revenue management.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Familiar with fundraising databases, software, etc.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to engage cross-functional partners in donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities to deepen and expand partner engagement.
  • Experience developing proposals and stewardship reports for six-to seven-figure- gifts.
  • Experience with cause-marketing campaign development and execution highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills.
  • Learning agility -able to understand and articulate a complex, evolving mission and strategy and work within a complex network environment.
  • A self-starter; ability to work proactively with limited supervision when necessary.
