The Director of Corporate Partnerships manages charitable relationships with a portfolio of Feeding America’s principal corporate partners and is responsible for meeting or exceeding personal revenue goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serves in a senior account service role, providing day-to-day relationship management for an assigned portfolio geared towards donors giving financial support of $500,000 or higher annually. Leads donor solicitation, stewardship, communication and issue resolution for assigned accounts.
  • Prepares gift solicitation and stewardship documents; helps conceive and execute partners’ cause marketing programs; leads internal teams at Feeding America to create content and ensure strong cause marketing activation at national and local levels.
  • Actively solicits six to seven-figure gifts from assigned accounts. Responsible for meeting annual, personal fundraising targets in support of Corporate Partnerships’ fundraising and operating revenue goals.
  • Builds a defined donor strategy for this portfolio of relationships under the supervision of the Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships and the VP of Corporate Partnerships. Seeks ways to broaden partners’ support across philanthropic giving, cause marketing and employee engagement and build holistic partnerships in support of Feeding America’s mission.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with member food banks to help deepen donor engagement and link partnerships at the national and local level.
  • Actively participates in cross-functional teams and committees that desire the presence of a leader from the Corporate Partnerships team.  Identifies opportunities to streamline processes related to relationship management and means of sharing information internally and externally. 
  • Prepares briefing memos, partnership updates and communications for Executive Team, including the Chief Executive Officer, as needed.
  • Serves as a mentor and role model for less experienced Corporate Partnership staff members.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS or relevant experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 7+ of experience in supporting high level account management, preferably in a national non-profit setting

  • Leverages Functional Experience – Ability to lead by example as a primary relationship builder; ability to inspire and coach other fundraisers.

Required Technical Competencies and Experience

  • Strong track record in corporate fundraising and/or revenue management.
  • Experience in cultivating, securing and stewarding multi-million-dollar gifts.
  • Experience building and executing national cause-marketing campaigns.
  • A deep understanding of donor stewardship; strong communication skills.
  • Ability to engage colleagues for collaboration on the entire spectrum of interests at Feeding America: food, funds, employee engagement and advocacy.
  • Learning agility, able to learn and articulate a complex, evolving mission and work.
  • A self-starter; ability to work with limited supervision when necessary.
  • Approximately 10% - 15% travel required.
