Responsible for supporting core chapter events including Light The Night, Man Woman of the Year, Students of the Year and other campaigns for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support all elements of multiple fundraising campaigns including the Light The Night Walk, Man Woman of the Year, and Students of the Year.
- Achieve a solid command of the LLS donor database and on-line fundraising systems to generate reports, track donor information, and to coordinate mass communications.
- Assist fundraisers and participants with general recruitment and fundraising strategies, including development and maintenance of personal fundraising pages.
- Cultivate and steward campaign volunteers/donors/teams/participants according to campaign and chapter standards.
- Coordinate materials for campaign meetings and activities, including sponsorship packets, team packets, committee meeting materials, etc.
- Support events on-site. Work with fellow staff, vendors, and volunteers to help ensure a smooth event day experience.
- Provide assistance for auction element of event(s). Help secure and process auction items, track inventory, write item descriptions, manage logistics of receiving and storage.
- Develop positive volunteer interactions through recruitment, mentoring, and providing comprehensive support.
- Connect with vendors to secure the best rate or donation of services needed for the campaigns.
- Develop/modify marketing materials (brochures, recruitment, promotional flyers, pledge forms) to promote the fundraising campaign.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS's mission and programs to promote the Society's fundraising, research, and patient initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years fundraising, sales, marketing, communications, event planning experience.
- Collaborate with Mission Team ensuring success of patient access, education, public policy & advocacy and research.
- Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Solid communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Professional and solid judgment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

- May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
- Travel within the Chapter's designated area.
- Required to work evenings or weekends when needed.

- Diversify Revenue: Identify and develop high-growth, high-margin revenue opportunities focusing on volunteer initiatives, eRevenue, donor development and new partner development.
