Business Development Manager, Workplace Health Solutions

The American Heart Association has a great opportunity for a Business Development Managerwithin a major market located in IL, OH, MI, or PA. This can be a remote position, but must be located near a major airport. This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding business relationships to advance product and service offerings of AHA Workplace Health Solutions, primarily Health Screening Services. Responsible for creating tactical plans to promote revenue generating products as well as working with affiliate field staff to cultivate business opportunities. Responsible for providing and supporting lead generation, evaluating targeted markets, tracking prospects and closing sales to achieve WHS sales objectives and goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develops and executes tactical plans to expand workplace Health Screening Services / MLCE revenue streams. This includes but is not limited to cultivating new clients, expanding relationships with existing clients and supporting Affiliates’ efforts.
  • Provides account management support for MLCE implementations and supports other client needs, if identified. HSS will be client managed by our master services provider.
  • Works with designated Affiliate staff to engage current WHAI clients to retain participation and develop new clients for annual cycle,
  • Identifies and recruits business partners (e.g. pharmacy retailer) and works with Affiliates to secure sponsors as needed for growth in community-sponsored health screening events.
  • Stays current with industry knowledge, competitive analysis and overall trends to support current and prospective clients.
  • May provide event management support including exhibition set-up, meeting program management, etc.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Prior Wellness Program and/or Health Screening Services Sales and/or Client Management experience required
  • Business development experience
  • Product/service management and growth
  • Skills in analyzing and modeling market data
  • Accurate reporting and organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate and facilitate business relationships
  • Advanced writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 50% local/daily and 10% travel with overnight stay
