Manages the activity and upload of all donations stemming from external system inputs. As part of the Gift & Data Management Team, the position creates donation records through importing donation and relevant donor data which entails a combination of reconciliation, business and data analysis and query/report development.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Plan, execute, monitor and control activities related to adding, updating or deleting data in the constituent database for fundraising and/or advocacy.
- Manage the receipt, file preparation and upload of data from complex/split employee giving campaigns and third party online donation files. Assist in the reconciliation of amounts, troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Manage the telemarketing data; ensure receipt of result notifications; monitor load times and accuracy of file delivery, processing and posting. Assist in the reconciliation of amounts, troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Deliver regular data integrity reports; identify additional reporting needed to ensure Master Data Management plan is adhered to through creation or spec development for programming. Monitor and execute key elements of the Master Data Management processes configured with ClearMDM which includes data integrity checks, mass data manipulation and duplicate record merging and use of DemandTools for uploading and mass changes of data.
- Manage the de-duplication process of records, bring forward recommendations regarding constituent data enhancements, needs to maintain the constituent data architecture across the Feeding America enterprise.
- Maintain current philanthropy metrics and create new measurements as needed/identified. Create and/or produce necessary reports, prepare comprehensive results analysis of data to assist in ongoing statistical analysis and scrutiny of donation activity. These reports ensure the integrity and completeness of donation-related information.
- Oversee the Pledge Reminder report notifications process.
- Manage the source code request queue of uploads needed by the Direct Marketing Program, ensuring timely and accurate load of data to the philanthropy database.
- Serve as a back to donation recording at peak times.
- Maintain updated work instructions, document business rules/processes.
Educational Background:
BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred
Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in managing constituency/revenue management or fundraising operations.
- Strongly prefer background in nonprofit philanthropy.
- Experience with database management and financial reconciliation strongly preferred.
- Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Basic SQL experience a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills: ability to multi-task with a strong sense of meeting deadlines and follow-up, and a commitment to process.
