The Opportunity
Chicago or Regionally-based (AR, AL, KS, FL, LA, GA, MS, NM, NC, OK, SC, TX or TN)
To research, identify, and procure primarily animal protein food donations through a variety of business solutions and/or specific donor strategies through high level account management with key strategic and priority partners. Identify additional opportunities for donor engagement and multi-level/department integration. Provide overall leader-ship for all industry segments in identifying opportunities for more animal protein for the food insecure families we serve.
- Develop and implement business solution and/or strategies to increase donation to meet organizational goals.
- Maintain a high level of account management with strategic and priority CPG partners primarily within the animal protein Industry.
- Ability to connect with all levels of management and operational personnel within a company and across the industry.
- Analyze animal protein supply chain and identify points where product becomes unsellable and develop strategies and implementation plans to access through donation
- Research industry trends and share insights to benefit FANO and network sourcing teams
- Maintain or establish executive level contacts within the food and grocery industry with key donors.
- Develop and maintain beneficial relationships with protein associations through which to engage memberships
- Track and analyze donor activities and results throughout the fiscal year, leveraging for enhanced engagement
- Make recommendation for enhancements and new approaches based upon industry trends and results.
- Work cross departmentally to fully meet donor’s needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Support team goals and assist managing director by encouraging and supporting team members.
- Engage Feeding America members to assist in building local as well as national partnership where appropriate.

- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 10 plus years’ experience in sales/account management, food banking experience helpful
- Preferred experience in animal protein industry.
- Demonstrates leadership ability.
- 30% Travel required.
- Experience engaging successfully with executive level contacts.
- Excellent presentation skills; Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency, excellent attention to detail and follow up
