Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County is seeking a Home Repair Program Director who will be responsible for developing and managing the rapidly expanding repair program. The Director will manage staff and subcontractors in performing safe at home and critical repairs for homeowners throughout the county, in support of the vision and mission of the organization.
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in residential construction and renovations, with several years of management experience. The Home Repair Program Director must communicate in an engaging and professional manner, demonstrating compassion and discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential matters. Candidates must be computer literate with demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common software programs.
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategies, policies and procedures to provide high-quality home repairs that maintain affordable housing stock in Bucks County and assist low-income home owners to continue to live safely at home.
- Supervise the Home Repair Family Service manager to respond to inquiries and work with home owners to successfully complete the application process for Home Repairs.
- Do initial home assessments and prepare Scopes of Work that address both the desire of the homeowners and the preservation needs of the home within the scope and available funding of the Home Repair Program.
- Plan and schedule Home Repair projects including ordering materials, securing subcontractors as needed, scheduling staff and volunteers.
- Manage subcontracted projects including maintaining a list of approved contractors, managing the bidding process, and working with homeowners and contractors to complete repairs as agreed.
- Work with other departments to market, fund and manage the program budget.
