Areas of Responsibility:
- Serve as an advocate for individuals with disabilities.
- Assess Work Crew individuals on their strengths and areas of improvement and make recommendations at the individual’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) meeting on goals and objectives.
- Conduct ISP meetings and ensure all paperwork is submitted timely.
- Provide work crew members with job skills training that will enhance work crew members in developing independent employment skills.
- Responsible for completing inventory of supplies and equipment, quality assurance, monthly consumer progress notes, monthly consumer safety and skill training, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring contract requirements and ensuring quality compliance is met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Will maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) manual per Easterseals Superior CA requirements and ensure training for all consumers.
- Use appropriate disinfectants, cleaning agents, supplies and cleaning equipment in a safe manner.
- Sweep, dust mop, wet mop and vacuum specified areas as directed.
- High dust, polish furniture and damp dust as directed.
- Clean restrooms and disinfect daily.
- Remove and dispose trash daily.
- Remove and dispose bio-hazardous waste as required.
- Strip, seal and wax tile floors as directed.
- Operate basic mechanical cleaning equipment
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer services, both internally and externally.
Educational Background:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is recommended and/or one
Skills/Experience:
- (1) year full-time experience w orking in a custodial position.
- Disabilities and related characteristics of individuals served by the agency.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Janitorial and landscape equipment including proper usage, safety requirements, repair and maintenance needs, and related supplies.
- Proper use and handling of cleaning agents, chemicals, floor waxes, and other cleaning components.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Position requires possession of a valid California Driver's License, proof of liability insurance, and a good driving record.
- Position requires a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice.
- Position requires a pre-placement physical and back/lifting assessment.
- Position requires a Hepatitis B series vaccination.
- Position requires proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months.
- Position requires possession of a current certificate in Adult CPR with AED & Basic First Aid.
