We are currently seeking qualified candidates in the various technical areas for the anticipated USAID-funded Cultural Tourism Development in Egypt Activity.
FHI 360 seeks Technical Leads for a range of technical areas, including:
- skills development
- community engagement
- marketing and destination promotion
- private sector engagement
- public-private partnership development
- cultural heritage
- tourism site management and conservation
With technical oversight, these positions will provide technical leadership for relevant technical areas. These positions will be responsible for planning and scheduling own work flow and timetables, within area and function guidelines. These positions will maintain a constructive dialogue and technical exchange with field counterparts and technical staff of implementing partners, and will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with donor/client organizations, relevant government agencies, private sector stakeholders, MSMEs, and other NGOs. These positions will develop tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components, and ensure that project implementation adheres to the appropriate strategy and remains technically sound. These positions may serve as a departmental resource on procedural, administrative and operational issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in management of large projects and/or programs;
- Demonstrated expertise in specific technical area(s);
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities;
- Proficient writing and verbal communication skills;
- Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office);
- Articulate and professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff;
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private company;
- Prior USAID experience preferred;
- Prior experience in Egypt preferred; and
- Fluency in English required, Arabic preferred.
