Reporting to Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain coordinator will provide technical support to the supply chain function. Supervise staff, review supply chain processes and ensure compliance to supply chain management procedures. The supply chain coordinator will oversee implementation of supply chain activities including timely and value for money acquisition / provision of goods and services for WVIB business at the National and clusters.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive suppliers’ database including catalogues of various products and prices and ensure that supplier appraisal is conducted on annual basis. (10%)
  • Prepare analysis Reports on procurement and delivery of items on a monthly basis in order to engage the customers and other stake holders (10%)
  • Prepare bid analysis in preparation for the procurement meetings and draft contracts for review by the SCM. (10%)
  • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of purchase orders to suppliers and process invoices for payments. (10%)
  • Oversee the custody of key procurement documents and ensure proper filing system in place. (10%)
  • Contribute to capacity building of supply chain management function and field staff on supply chain (10%)
  • Support the SCM in the development of master procurement plan for the National Office.(5%)
  • Contribute to annual price surveys at NO and field and establishment of suppliers database including catalogues of various products and prices. (10%0
  • Contribute to supply chain risk management through identification of SCM Risk based audit risks and proactively participate in risk mitigation (5%)
  • Maintain a tracking System for all approved PRFs in the system and ensure that they are analyzed, processed and relevant weekly reports to the supervisor prepared in a timely manner. (10%)
  • Process supplier invoices for payment by attaching relevant backup documents and submit to Finance in a timely manner. (10%)
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply or related degree, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or any other recognized professional institute
Skills/Experience: 
  • Over 5 years’ experience in leading a Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Department

  • Ability to relate with internal and external customers
  • People Management and performance monitoring
  • Contract and Supplier Management
  • Logistics ,Transport, Distribution and Warehousing Management
  • Government and tax policies regarding procurement supplies

Work Environment:

  • Limited travel, working in team and provide support
  • Travel: Domestic/international travel is required
