Project Director, One Brave Idea

The Project Director is responsible for the tactical planning, creation, and execution of the One Brave Idea project. Responsible for applying project management best practices and tools to enable on-time / on-budget project delivery. Responsible for identifying and developing effective strategies and tools to communicate various aspects of One Brave Idea to key stakeholders, both internal and external. Responsible for facilitation and collaboration with the One Brave Idea™ Team Leader, members of his One Brave Idea Team, and the One Brave Idea research staff to track and communicate regarding various projects, including status, costs, milestones and deliverables.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Translates the One Brave Idea concept and business model into project plans and implementation tools. Communicates and facilitates short- and long-term, multi-year project timeline and resource requirements.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to execute project plans and optimize utilization of the One Brave Idea model. Ensures project and resources meet sponsors and funding organizations offerings, assets and expertise.
  • Directs, tracks and communicates project delivery milestones, status and outcomes. Provides consistent and cohesive information to the Joint Leadership Group for One Brave Idea™.
  • Oversees and monitors the financial status of project activities, funding sources and reporting metrics, targets, and results.
  • Researches, identifies, and executes strategic marketing and communications plans to optimize and effectively increase outreach efforts and activities/events. Presents and implements traditional and digital marketing plans to increase visibility and brand presence.
  • Develops and ensures delivery of comprehensive evaluation and tracking plan including metrics and targets for all marketing and outreach efforts. Provides regular progress and effectiveness reports for finances, project measures, and marketing, including public relations and advertising to engage appropriate target audiences.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS is required, ideally in healthcare administration, public health, health sciences, or clinic administration. Advanced degree and/or PMP certification is plus.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 5-8 years in program and project management, communications and/or related fields. Experience and proven leadership in developing and executing complex cross-matrix, multi-year projects preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a strategic business role.
  • 2-3 years’ experience of stakeholder management.
  • Experience in health science and/or medical program planning strongly preferred.

  • Ability to communicate multi-disciplinary and scientific / technical information, including to senior level stakeholders.
  • Actively negotiate and influence across areas to promote high performance, including comfort level to challenge teams
  • Team player/people orientated. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across business areas (i.e. including with Commercial and Global teams)
  • Strong Facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge/experience in annual business cycles and budget management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft applications and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time with overnight stays
