Raise new corporate revenue for ACS CAN.  Strengthen ACS CAN’s presence in the business community.  Establishes and maintains relationships with key strategic partners. Assist in managing the annual ACS CAN New England Research Breakfast including all event logistics. Support and empower ACS and ACS CAN staff in soliciting corporate partnerships.Solicit corporations to become members of ACS CAN’s Corporate Member Program by using an in-depth knowledge of public policy to help companies understand the value of a partnership with ACS CAN with a specific focus on companies based in New England and New York.• Facilitate new and existing partnerships and opportunities that expand ACS CAN’s presence in the public policy arena• Lead the pursuit of new opportunities, manage and cultivate relationships and drive involvement in accounts to achieve ACS CAN’s mission and income targets.• Serve as a primary ACS CAN relationship manager with responsibility for prospect research, recruitment, cultivation, and retention of targeted and other priority corporations while achieving income and program goals as determined.• Build relationships with ACS and ACS CAN staff to identify prospects that have potential to partner with, and contribute to, ACS CAN.  Effort will need to be spent educating these staff on advocacy and the potential synergy between companies and ACS CAN.• Collaborate with ACS Global Headquarter’s Corporate Relations and Alliances Team to ensure full integration with their donor outreach efforts.• Train and mentor staff (both ACS CAN and ACS) in effective strategies to solicit donors to ensure program understanding and success.• Help solicit donors for, and lead the day-to-day management of the ACS CAN Research Breakfast in New England, including assisting with event logistics.• Supports Sr. Vice President, Alliance Development & Philanthropy and Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to ensure mission, top line, and bottom line goals are reached as well as compliance with enterprise policies.

Areas of Responsibility:

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising preferably at the national level with strong experience in soliciting corporate donors and strong corporate relationships
  • General knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques at a large organization
  • General knowledge of health policy and oncology is desirable but not required

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE:

  • Non-profit fundraising with an emphasis on soliciting corporate donors. High-end event management desirable.
