Under the direction of the Food Assistance Manager the Administrative Officer will support all staff in the region through provision of secretarial service, administrative and reporting support functions.The position is tenable at Blantyre Disaster Management Unit (DMU) Office.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management or in any other related field
Skills/Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- At least 2 years’ experience in administration, office management and reporting.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely cost effective manner under pressure.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and willingness to learn
- Self-starter
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and email
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
