We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Technical Director for the USAID/ Kyrgyz Republic Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program
The Technical director will provide technical leadership and manage technical capacity development to program; Direct the development and implementation process of the program involving departmental or cross-functional teams; Supervise staff who support the technical aspects of the program. Plans and directs schedules. Monitors the program from initiation through delivery.
- Leads the operational and tactical activities for the program
- Develops and implements processes and procedures to achieve strategic technical goals of the program
- Serve as the main point of contact with in-country technical experts, government counterparts and other stakeholders
- Supervises program technical staff
- Directs and guides managers, and staff with training and developing process improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with USAID and government standards
- Serves as primary decision maker for technical issues on the program
- Monitors implementation of program activities through periodic consultations, monthly progress review meetings, reports review, and field visits
- Oversees the strategic direction, budgetary planning, and technical process of department to ensure program objectives are met
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in TB and project management experience within a relevant area
- Technical experience designing, implementing and managing TB programs;
- Demonstrated experience in the management of complex programs;
- Demonstrated experience with project leadership including a positive professional
reputation, strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills; - Ability to effectively coordinate, collaborate and partner with government, donors, civil
society and private business to leverage resources; - Experience working with National TB Programs in the former Soviet Union;
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning of public health
programs; - Fluency in English;
- Fluency in Russian;
