The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and one of the most innovative and successful organizations of its kind – is seeking a Clinical Trial Affairs Specialist to join our Clinical Trial team.  The Clinical Trial Affairs Specialist will work closely with the Director of Clinical Trial Affairs helping support the projects, programs and work involved in promoting high quality and timely conduct of clinical trials throughout the Network. They will work closely with the Therapeutics Development Network Coordinating Center and play an integral role on the CFF Clinical Trial Team.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage payment of invoices and honorariums through timely and accurate submission of My Workplace materials.
  • Professional and responsive communication to Research Coordinators, Principal Investigators and other groups within the cystic fibrosis community.
  • Program support including developing training and communication materials, editing medical related materials upon request, and participating in program planning meetings.
  • Working collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external contacts.
  • Small and large meeting planning and direction to Medical Meetings regarding meeting logistics for both onsite and offsite meetings.
  • Communicate and engage with external and internal stakeholders via e-mail, Newsletters, phone calls.
  • Schedule meetings, conference calls, and travel.
  • Collect data, utilize survey monkey, develop excel reports, and update records and reports as required.
  • Understand clinical trials affairs program and processes in order to represent the department and respond to inquiries and requests effectively.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS in related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three to five years of relevant experience. Experience within a clinical/medical team, hospital setting, university research program strongly preferred
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High levels of self-accountability, integrity, and professionalism
  • Initiative and responsiveness to ad hoc requests from supervisor
  • Good judgment and problem solving
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with spreadsheets and financial administrative tasks
