The purpose of the position is to provide overall management and supervision of the WASH Project. To coordinate, manage resources and implement WASH activities under the project, (Review the design for the construction work, supervise the construction work, follow up on the training, awareness activities, built a good relation with the community and the project stakeholders and reporting all matters on a timely manners). To Lead Project activities, such as Needs assessment, technical designs, coordinating with local partners, private contractors and vendors, monitoring, weekly and monthly progress reporting and weekly planning. Liaise between the project’s stakeholders and its beneficiaries
Handle Project and staff Management (45%)
- Oversee the WASH project implementation
- Develop and continually update the project related documents: Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs), procurement plan, cash flow, etc.
- Monitor and follow up on the budget expenditure and make sure it is aligned with the project budget
- Successfully operationalize and ensure the timely implementation of the planned activities under the WASH project.
- Draft and continually adjust the operational approaches.
- Ensure that all WASH-related data (e.g. baseline assessments, activity monitoring) is well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground.
- Submit regular reports related to the project’s WASH interventions (Weekly, monthly, quarterly reports)
- Ensure a close coordination with the project consortium members for an optimal project implementation
- Conduct regular meeting with project stakeholder to discuss progress of implementation and accordingly generate action plans
- Work closely with project consultant and contractors for the implementation of the construction work in a timely manners.
Perform Internal Coordination (20%)
- Coordinate continuously with other heads of units (Engineering and Hygiene promotion units) in order to ensure the proper implementation of the WASH projects and the timely support and submission of deliverables as requested by the project Manager.
- Ensure daily coordination of activities with World Vision’s internal departments and sectors (e.g. Security, Fleet, M&E, Accountability, etc.).
- Coordinate and take part with the Grants Program team and Portfolio Manager for the design of WASH proposals and concept notes.
- Coordinate with the Information management unit to transfer all the information about the implementation and beneficiaries to be filled and documented as per the policies and procedures
- Coordinate with the Hygiene promotion team, for a smooth implementation of the soft components activities under this project.
Perform External coordination and engagement (25%)
- Ensure continuous coordination with stakeholders and communities (e.g. Bekaa Water Establishment, H2ALL consortium, NGOs, universities, UN agencies, government, municipalities, partners, and donors).
- Establish good and trustworthy relationships with different stakeholders (partners, donors, etc.)
- Attend coordination meetings, sector meetings, Partners meeting, etc.
Ensure Capacity building (5%)
- Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally, if any

- Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture

- 3 to 5 years of experience in WASH project management (design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation and monitoring)
- Strong English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation
- A high level of diplomacy and networking skills is required.

- Experience in managing staff, partners and facilitating capacity building.
- 2 years’ experience in NGOs in the work of implementing or managing programs in any field related to water, sanitation, health or shelter: involving assessments, design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, and evaluation and monitoring with experience in working in the informal tented settlement.
