The Grants Administration Specialist works in conjunction with the program department to assist in the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of grant-funded programs and services within our 5 county region. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensure tracking, completion of, and compliance with all grant acknowledgement, reporting, and renewal requirements
  • Maintain all files related to government or donor program grants
  • Assist in grant writing and securing future funding for programs
  • Coordinate all pre-award and post-award administrative duties (e.g. drafting Request for Proposals)
  • Prepare invoicing for grant payments 
  • Manage grant or donor contracts for review, submission and approval
  • Maintain and accurately enter records within the applicable grants management platforms
  • Work with program staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of time and effort tracking for grant activities (e.g. personnel activity reports)
  • Coordinate submission and completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual grant progress reports as applicable (e.g. objectives or statistical reports)
  • Assist with budget development, review, and management
  • Create, review, and approve program expense and/or travel reports
  • Assure compliance with government grant and Alzheimer’s Association audit requirements (fiscal, programmatic etc.)
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, non-profit administration or other related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of experience in grants administration  
  • Experience in grants and budget management, data analysis, and reporting
  • Detail-orientated with the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, partners and constituents
  • Self-directed and flexible 
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in maintaining systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
