ReStore, Atlanta Habitat’s home improvement outlet, is seeking an energetic sales professional to help meet our sales goals. Qualified candidates will have at least three years of retail sales experience, have a “customer first” mindset, be able to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, be willing to follow all store policies and have the desire to work in a unique retail environment. Retail experience with construction or building materials and/or hardware is preferred.

 

Position Description: 

The mission of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is to partner with working families, sponsors and communities to build affordable, green, quality homes and to provide support services that promote successful home purchase and ownership. The ReStore is Atlanta Habitat’s home improvement outlet, open to the public. The ReStore generates revenue through the sale of donated and reclaimed building materials and supplies. All proceeds support Atlanta Habitat’s mission. The ReStore Sales Associate supports Atlanta Habitat’s mission by serving as a point of contact for donors and customers, representing Atlanta Habitat for Humanity as well as the ReStore.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The ReStore Sales Associate is directly responsible for:

  • Interacting positively with donors and customers
  • Assisting with the retail operation, including operating the Point of Sale (POS) system and making sales
  • Supporting donation procurement
  • Providing superior customer service to donors and customers
  • Following all store policies and procedures
  • Supporting the ReStore in reaching annual goals
Skills/Experience: 

Qualifications include:

  • Flexible schedule
  • At least 18 years of age
Compensation/Benefits: 

This position is part-time, with an expected average work week 29 hours and will pay $12/hour. Work schedule may include weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Our part-time employee benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO) leave and the opportunity to participate in a voluntary retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
