We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Training Lead for an anticipated USAID-funded education activity.
The purpose of this anticipated five-year project is to: 1) expand the innovative learning instruction methods in reading, math, and business (21st century) skills into the national curriculum in all 2400 of Georgia’s primary schools for grades 1-6, including schools in marginalized communities; 2) Strengthen teacher development curricula and teacher induction activities in universities across the country that will result in a highly-qualified cadre of teachers. This project will take place in the Republic of Georgia with an anticipated duration of five years.
- Create and implement a framework for planning, organizing, and delivering all teacher trainings in different parts of the country.
- Develop material for training of trainers (TOT).
- Work closely with program staff to ensure the success, effectiveness, and relevance of all training materials.
- Liaise with the blended learning specialist to ensure face-to-face trainings are well complemented via the e-learning platform.
- Liaise with partners and oversee the successful delivery of face-to-face and continuous teacher professional development at scale.
- Liaise with and support the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Teacher Professional Development Center to ensure that trainings correspond to the guidelines and needs of the Georgian government.
- Provide high quality and timely submission of all required project reports, including documentation of success stories, analysis of data for indicator calculation, summary of learning agenda findings, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience required in the design, management and facilitation of teacher training, teacher development, and development projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, trainers, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of programs required.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance required.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communications skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Georgian required.
- Fluency in English required; additional Russian language proficiency preferred.
