FHI 360 is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position Regional Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator based in our Atlanta, GA office.

The Office of Head Start Region IV Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) network provides local grantees with high-quality, sustained, and intensive training and technical assistance. T/TA is provided to individual grantees, to clusters of grantees with similar interests, and at state and regional events.  Region IV grantees are located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. 

The Regional Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator will work with the OHS Regional Office on short, intermediate, and long-term planning in accordance with OHS Central and Regional Office priorities and make sure they are aligned with FHI 360 policies and procedures.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Work closely with the COR to ensure the provision of high-quality training and technical assistance that complies with OHS requirements;
  • Coordinate the work of the regional TTA system, as directed by the COR;
  • Provide ongoing supervision of the EC Manager(s), the Systems Specialist, the Health Specialists, and the GS Manager(s).
  • Develop professional development frameworks for Grantee Specialists to increase their expertise and ability to support program capacity and strengthen program systems;
  • Participate in a strategic planning team for the region to address grantee needs, identify gaps, and develop strategies to ensure compliance and improve quality, at the direction of the region;
  • Provide on-going reporting of comprehensive data analysis linking regional and state TTA to OHS Central and Regional Office priorities and grantee service delivery, including HSES analysis of TTA activities, trends, regional needs, and intensity/quality of TTA provision;
  • Provide quarterly reports to the COR and RPM on the “state of the region/states” with a focus on needs, TTA response, and gaps;
  • Develop regional/state work plans to address grantee needs, at the direction of the region;
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the provision of training and technical assistance and contract deliverables;
  • Serve on a National TTA Advisory Group along with National Center staff and others to inform OHS and each other about TTA priorities and efforts, at the request of OHS; and
  • Participate in National and Regional Briefings as well as other regional office meetings, as requested by the RPM and/or COR.
  • Provide oversight over project’s budget, contract management and deliverables and ensure compliance expectations are being met.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, social sciences, or any other related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of project management and Head Start TTA experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-sector project management and implementation.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning, staff development and capacity building experience.
  • Demonstrated talent management, strategic planning, performance management, staff development, and capacity building experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and national/international in scope; demonstrated experience in managing OHS Regional TTA work preferred.
  • Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
  • Demonstrated budget and contract management. Will be responsible for compliance fulfillment of any fiduciary activities of the project.
  • Position will require at least 30% travel.
